Jill has substantial experience in commercial litigation, with a particular focus on regulatory proceedings, class actions, competition, corporations and securities, tax, insurance, and equity.
Jill has acted for major Australian and international corporations, financial institutions, insurers and fund managers (including ANZ, the Commonwealth Bank, NAB, UBS, Ford Australia and QIC) and has appeared both for and against regulators, including ASIC and the ACCC. In class actions she has acted for both respondents and claimants. She is recognised as a Leading Junior Counsel for Commercial Disputes in the Legal 500, Australian Bar (2025, 2026).
Before coming to the Bar, Jill was a Senior Associate at Allens in Commercial Disputes, and completed an in-house secondment at NAB. She has also lectured in Corporate Insolvency at the University of Melbourne and was a reporter for the Commonwealth Law Reports between 2018 and 2023.
Jill holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford, where she was awarded the Supperstone Law Scholarship, and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Monash University.
