Anya accepts briefs in all areas of law.
Before being called to the Bar, Anya was a Senior Lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor, specialising in competition and civil penalty litigation including for AUSTRAC, the ACCC and ASIC. Anya has substantial experience in complex investigations and Royal Commissions, including the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.
Anya has also lectured in Constitutional Law and Public Law at the University of Sydney. Anya was an Associate to Justice Jagot in the Federal Court of Australia.
Anya holds a Masters of Law from Columbia University, where she was a James Kent scholar, and a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Economics and Social Sciences (University Medal) from the University of Sydney
